What Is the Armenia eVisa?
The Armenia electronic visa (eVisa) is an online travel authorisation that allows eligible foreign nationals to visit the Republic of Armenia for tourism, business, family visits, medical treatment, study, transit and other short-stay purposes — without visiting an embassy in most cases.
Approved applicants receive an eVisa approval letter by email. Present this document with your valid passport at an authorised airport or land border checkpoint. The entire application — form, document upload and payment — is completed through a secure online portal.

Armenia eVisa Information Guide
Expand any section for detailed information on purposes, documents, entry ports and how the eVisa differs from embassy visas.
What Is the Armenia eVisa?
The Armenia eVisa is an electronic entry permit for short-stay visits. It is not a physical sticker in your passport — instead you receive a PDF or printable approval letter linked to your passport number.
Border officers verify your eVisa against your passport at check-in and on arrival. The permitted stay duration and entry conditions are printed on the approval document.
Permitted Travel Purposes
The online system supports multiple short-stay categories including tourism, business, family visit, medical treatment, study, transit and other declared purposes.
Select the purpose that matches your primary reason for travel. For leisure trips see the tourist visa guide.
Fees and Processing Time
Consular fees vary by nationality and stay duration. Use the fee calculator before you apply.
Standard processing takes approximately 3–4 business days after payment. Track your application on the status page.
Required Documents
Every applicant uploads a facial photograph and passport biodata scan. Additional supporting documents depend on nationality.
See photo & passport requirements and visa requirements for complete checklists.
Where You Can Enter Armenia
eVisa holders must enter through authorised checkpoints — including Zvartnots International Airport (Yerevan), Shirak Airport (Gyumri) and designated land borders with Georgia and Iran.

eVisa vs Embassy Sticker Visa
The eVisa suits most short-term tourism and business trips for eligible nationalities. Long-stay employment, residence permits and complex visa categories are handled through Armenian embassies and consulates.
