Complete checklist of Armenia eVisa document requirements — mandatory identity uploads, passport validity rules and nationality-specific supporting documents before you apply online.
What You Need Before Applying
Before you start an Armenia electronic visa (eVisa) application, gather every document you will need to upload. Requirements fall into three groups: universal identity files (every nationality), passport validity rules and nationality-specific supporting documents shown during the online form.
The application wizard displays the exact checklist for your passport country once you select your nationality. Use this page as a planning guide — then confirm details on the photo & passport upload guide, fee calculator and eligible countries list before you apply.
Mandatory for Every Applicant
Regardless of nationality, every Armenia eVisa application must include the following before payment and processing can begin.
Facial photograph
Recent passport-style colour portrait on a plain background. JPG, PNG or BMP, max 6 MB. See the photo & passport requirements page for full rules.
Passport biodata page scan
Clear scan or photo of the full data page (photo, personal details and MRZ). JPG, PNG, BMP or PDF, max 6 MB.
Completed application form
Personal, passport and travel details entered exactly as printed in your travel document.
Visa fee payment

Passport Validity & Travel Document Rules
Your passport must meet these conditions at the time of application and on arrival in Armenia.

Valid machine-readable ordinary passport or accepted travel document
Remaining validity
At least 3 months after your intended departure from Armenia
Recommended validity
Six months beyond arrival is advised for airline check-in and border entry
Blank pages
At least 2 pages free from visas, stamps or marks
Issue date
Passport issued within the last 10 years
Data matching
Names, number and dates must match the online form and uploaded scan
Supporting Documents — Set A vs Set B
After photo and passport uploads, many nationalities must attach a supporting document set. The online form shows your exact checklist once you select your passport country.
Set A — Reduced Supporting Documents
Some nationalities qualify for a lighter document set when they hold a valid visa or residence permit from an eligible country. The online form will confirm whether Set A applies to you.
Travel (medical) insurance valid for your stay in Armenia
Valid residence permit or multiple-entry visa from an eligible jurisdiction (e.g. EU/Schengen, USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Russia, or Gulf residence permits where accepted)
Optional supporting documents — employment letter, prior travel history or other proofs
Indian citizens with qualifying visas or Gulf residence permits typically use Set A. See the Armenia visa guide for Indian citizens for the full checklist.
Set B — Full Supporting Documents
Applicants who do not qualify under Set A must upload a complete supporting package. Requirements vary by nationality — the application portal lists every mandatory file for your passport country.
Return or onward flight reservation showing planned entry and exit dates
Invitation letter, petition or note verbal from an interested host in Armenia (organisation, authority or accredited mission where required)
Proof of financial means — bank statements, salary certificate, employment contract or equivalent
Accommodation details or hotel reservation where applicable
Other documents specific to your travel purpose or nationality
Set B is common for first-time tourists and business visitors without a qualifying third-country visa. Gather all files before starting the form to avoid incomplete submissions.
Preparation Tips
Apply at least 3–4 business days before travel — longer during peak seasons.
Use the same passport for the application that you will present at the border.
Each traveller in a group application needs separate photo, passport scan and supporting files.
Carry proof of onward travel — airlines and border officers may request it even if not uploaded.
Keep hotel bookings or host contact details available for inspection on arrival.
Expand any section for more detail on eligibility, document sets and common application holds.
Who Needs an Armenia eVisa?
Foreign nationals whose passport country is not visa-exempt must obtain an eVisa or another valid travel authorisation before arrival. Eligibility depends on your passport nationality, not your country of residence.
Check the eligible countries list to confirm whether you can apply online and which document set applies.
Photo and Passport Upload Rules
Every applicant uploads a facial photograph and passport biodata scan in separate fields. Do not interchange them.
Beyond photo and passport files, many nationalities must upload Set A or Set B supporting documents. The wizard shows your exact list after you select your issuing country.
Indian passport holders have detailed Set A / Set B rules on the dedicated India visa guide.
Tourism vs Business Document Differences
Tourism: insurance, accommodation proof, return travel and financial means are commonly requested under Set B.
Business: an invitation or letter from a host company in Armenia is often required. Confirm category-specific rules when selecting your visa purpose in the form.
Why Applications Are Placed on Hold
Common reasons include blurry uploads, mismatched passport data, missing supporting documents, expired passports or selecting the wrong visa category.
Review every field on the preview screen before payment. See how to apply for the six-step wizard walkthrough.
Ready to Gather Your Documents?
Once your passport, photo and supporting files are ready, start your Armenia eVisa application. Processing typically begins after payment and takes 3–4 business days for standard cases.
