Who Can Enter Armenia Without a Visa?
Citizens of selected countries may enter the Republic of Armenia for short visits without applying for an eVisa. Visa-free entry is based on your passport nationality — not your country of residence — and applies when you travel with a valid ordinary machine-readable passport.
Most visa-exempt travellers may stay up to 90 days within a 180-day period. United Arab Emirates passport holders may stay up to 180 days. Permitted purposes typically include tourism, private visits and certain business activities; employment and long-term residence are not covered by visa-free entry.
If your nationality does not appear on this list, you must obtain an Armenia eVisa or another valid travel authorisation before departure. Browse the eligible countries list or start an application to confirm your requirements.

Visa-Free Entry vs Armenia eVisa
Visa-exempt travellers enter Armenia with only a valid passport — no advance online application or approval letter is needed for permitted short stays.
eVisa travellers must apply online, pay the consular fee, receive approval by email and present the eVisa letter with their passport at entry. See the eligible countries list if you are unsure which category applies.
What If My Country Is Both Listed?
Some passport countries appear on both the visa-exempt list and the eVisa eligible registry because travellers may choose the route that suits their stay length or travel purpose. If you are visa-exempt for tourism, you normally do not need an eVisa for short visits within the permitted period.
When in doubt — for longer stays, multiple entries or specific business categories — confirm requirements before departure or check the application form for your nationality.
Where Visa-Exempt Travellers May Enter
Visa-free visitors may arrive through Zvartnots International Airport (Yerevan), Shirak Airport (Gyumri) and authorised land border crossings with Georgia and Iran, subject to normal immigration checks.
Border officers verify identity, purpose of visit and compliance with permitted stay limits.
My Nationality Is Not on This List

Indian citizens and other nationalities with dedicated guides should review nationality-specific document rules during the application.
